GARDEN CLUB

The Community League Garden Club was formed to satisfy those with an interest in gardening and is open to all members of the WCL. Horticultural expertise is not a prerequisite for membership, only a willingness to participate. Programs include lectures and demonstrations on gardening subjects -- both outdoors and in -- day trips, workshops on flower arranging and holiday greens.

Garden Club meetings are generally held on the second or third Thursday of each month, in the morning, from September through May. This year’s programs will consist of demonstrations and lectures on a wide range of topics, which will be announced in June. Floral design workshops will be held at least twice for hands-on learning. Each April, all the garden clubs in Weston gather for a joint meeting at First Parish Church.

The Garden Club is affiliated with 200 other garden clubs in the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts and also belongs to the National Garden Clubs. Three of its past club presidents have also served as president of the Federation, and several members serve on the state board.

SUPPORT THE GARDEN CLUB
The Garden Club raises funds through the sale of the Tick Key. This is the easiest-to-use tick remover we've ever seen.  The Tick Key works for people and dogs, too!
To use it, all you have to do is place the key over the tick in the teardrop hole.  Slide the tick into the specially tapered slot.  Pull the key away from the tick, sliding along the skin. The Tick is removed easily, head and all!

Spring is coming.  Be ready to deal with these pests!  Contact Mary Louise Hatten 617-791-6292 or Marcia Newstadt 781-235-1883 to purchase for $5 each.
