Established in 1930, the Service and Scholarship Fund provides funding for need based and merit based scholarships to graduating Weston High School seniors. The fund also provides funding to worthy organizations, groups or individuals benefiting Weston residents to help further their quality of life.
Scholarships
Each year, a scholarship fund to need-based Weston High graduating seniors averages over $25,000. At Class Day, awards are given by the WCL for excellence in French, Spanish, Latin and Literary studies. Two Germeshausen Awards for Achievement in Science and two Community Service and Citizenship awards are also given.
Service Awards
Each year, funds are donated from the WCL Service and Scholarship Fund to organizations, groups or individuals in the Town of Weston that are deemed needy. For example, the Fund contributed to the purchase of a new tractor for Landsake Farms and a new bus for the Weston Council on Aging.
